Full itinerary and trip details below: DAYS 1, 2 OKAVANGO DELTA A short scenic flight (included) from Maun takes you deep into the delta. In this water wonderland you will explore papyrus fringed channels, lily-covered lagoons and forested islands. Transport is by mokoro (canoe) punted by Bayei boatmen. The elusive sitatunga and the beautiful red lechwe are frequently encountered as well as all of the Okavango's big game. Swamp boubou, slaty egret, pygmy goose, copperytailed coucal and lesser jacana are among the special birds to look out for. African fish eagles are abundant. Camping among the giant sausage trees and sycamore figs, you will enjoy the pristine beauty of the Delta night - punctuated by the calls of owls and nightjars, and the distant grunting of hippo. OKAVANGO DELTA, Private camp, all inclusive DAYS 3, 4, 5 MOREMI AND THE EASTERN OKAVANGO DELTA From the Delta you transfer by light aircraft (included) back to Maun before driving to the Moremi Game Reserve. Camp is set up in Moremi, perhaps the most scenic of Botswana's reserves and home to an astounding array of large mammal species! Here, the Okavango consists of slow-moving channels and open flood plains. Time is spent traversing the flood plains and open woodlands in search of elephant, buffalo, lion, wild dog, leopard and birds such as Meyer's parrot and green pigeon. After breaking camp at Moremi the group travels east to Savuti. MOREMI, Private camp, all inclusive DAYS 6, 7, 8, 9 SAVUTI AND THE CHOBE NATIONAL PARK Lion prides and clans of spotted hyenas are resident in the area and are frequently seen around the camp which will be set up alongside the now dry Savuti Channel. Opportunities for photography are exceptional - several award winning documentaries, including "Eternal Enemies" and "Patterns in the Grass" have been filmed here. Driving further east camp will be erected on or near the banks of the Chobe River within the national park. This is superb elephant country and many safaris see more than 500 elephant in a single day. Antelope, including the rare puku, as well as predators and water birds abound in this region. CHOBE, Private camp, all inclusive DAY 10 VICTORIA FALLS 85km's away the world's largest waterfall, the Victoria Falls, pours over a mile wide lip and explodes with fury into the Batoka Gorge below.
