AFRICA SAFARI CHALLENGE Below the world famous Victoria Falls, Nyaminyami, the river God, has for millions of years protected the Zambezi river and the tortured gorge through which it flows. We will hurl ourselves from the Victoria Falls bridge, between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and fall 111 metres (the worlds second highest commercial bungee jump) only to be snatched back from certain demise in the last moment. Some people in the group may feel that this is just too much, and for them we offer the opportunity to fly above the mighty falls in a two seater microlight aircraft. Across the bridge in Zambia is the dusty airstrip from where experienced microlight pilots will take you up above the Victoria Falls, the worlds largest waterfall. In the local language the falls are known as Mosi oa Tunya or the smoke that thunders. You will thrill to the view as you bank and circle through the mist clouds hundreds of feet above the falls. You will then fly upriver and explore the myriad of channels and islands. It is not uncommon to spot pods of hippo lazing in the cool waters and an elephant or two strolling through the palms. For those of you whose adrenal gland just cant stop pumping, do the jump and then do a microlight flight.
