return to ULTIMATE AFRICA SAFARIS 2004 AFRICA SAFARI
CHALLENGE
One of the most remote stretches of river in all of Africa, canoeing the lower Zambezi river is an experience not to be missed. This stretch of river is home to an exciting array of wildlife including pods of hippo, an uncomfortable number of crocodiles, herds of elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, and much much more. As you drift slowly through the calm waters you are at once both relaxed but alert. But this isnt all! How would you like to pull your canoe onto a sandy beach and take off on foot to track that herd of elephant you just saw? How about tracking a lone lion deep into the bush? And game drives? All your days on the river you will be accompanied with an armed professional guide who knows this area and its wildlife intimately. In addition to canoeing you will enjoy bushwalks and game drives. At night you will sleep in a series of river side tented camps which will be set up each day prior to your arrival. This is Africa at its best! Canoeing
