ULTIMATE AFRICA SAFARIS
Wildebeest Migration
Update! In northern Tanzania the month of March saw the end of the "El Nino" rains followed by a short span of very hot weather. The familiar clouds of dust spiraling into the sky along the roads leading to the National parks returned. Soon after the "long rains" began. This is a quiet time of year with few visitors. Game viewing has been good in all the parks including Ngorongoro and Tarangire. The Serengeti has been exceptional!! During one recent safari client's had a fantastic experience viewing the overwhelmingly large wildebeest herds in the southern tip of the Serengeti. After staying in the middle of the endless mass of wildebeest for more than an hour, the guide and clients decided to make their way out of the crowd - they drove for 17 kilometers, but they never saw the end! They had to drive back to the camp, exhausted, but having bore testimony to the fact that "Serengeti shall never die." Tanzania is still one of the best places for viewing African wildlife!
