Survivor Security Increased The Isiolo County Council has deployed game rangers to patrol roads leading to Shaba National Reserve following a bandit attack on the Survivor III crew. Council chairman, Hussein Ali Abduba, blamed the attack on elements opposed to the shooting of the TV Series within the reserve. More than 10 armed bandits ambushed a truck ferrying casual workers to Isiolo town from Shaba. Acting Isiolo police boss, William arap Cheruiyot, had earlier in the week downplayed the incident but the council boss said the attack was a campaign by a group he declined to identify which was out to depict the district as insecure. Following the incident, the council has deployed game rangers from other parks to patrol the Isiolo / Marsabit highway and escort all vehicles to and from Shaba.
