Satellite Photos of Survivor 3 Site

Here are several satellite photos that were taken this summer while CBS was busy filming Survivor 3 within Kenya's Shaba Reserve.

The boma (mud and thatch huts surrounded by thron bushes) below was the set of the Tribal Council. A firepit is evident in the center.

The image below clearly shows the main Production Camp (Tent City) with editing facilities, mess hall and motor pool to the southwest. The shiny corrugated metal roofing reflects the blue sky. To the northeast you can see the one-man sleeping tents nestled under acacia trees. This is the same arrangement that Survivor used in Australia.

The Sarova Shaba Lodge (pictured below) is situated along the Ewaso N'giro River near a fresh water spring. The bright blue area on the left is the lodge swimming pool.

The Natorbe Gate (pictured below) is the main entrance to Shaba National Reserve. It is only a few miles from the tiny town of Archer's Post.
