Zanzibar Safari Accommodations Emersons and Green Hotel, Zanzibar - Situated in the old Stone Town of Zanzibar, the Emerson House was an old Omani palace which has been carefully restored to its original grandeur. Grumeti River Camp, Serengeti - A small luxury camp situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti, overlooking a tributary of the Grumeti River. The camp has 10 private walk in tents with en suite facilities. Activities include game drives in the Serengeti. There is also a pool. Kirawira Camp, Serengeti - Here guests have the opportunity to experience Africa as the early pioneers did. Atop a hill overlooking an endless expanse of savanna, Kirawira is a reincarnation of an outpost of Victorian-era elegance set against the majestic backdrop of the western Serengeti. Klein's Camp, Serengeti - Lying just south of the Masai Mara in a 25,000 acre private game ranch on the north eastern boundary of the Serengeti, Klein's Camp follows the concept of Kenya's private game ranches, the first of its kind in Tanzania. Opened in 1995 Klein's Camp offers accommodation in 8 tastefully appointed cottages. Built from local stone and thatch each cottage has en suite facilities and a private terrace offering sweeping views of the Grumeti River Valley. Guests enjoy wildlife viewing on a private concession on both day and night game drives and professionally guided nature walks. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, Lake Manyara - Situated deep in the heart of a mahogany forest, this new lodge is located in Lake Manyara’s remote south-western region. Guests are accommodated in ten spacious tree-houses with open-air showers and bathrooms. The décor is a combination of bleached wood and woven makuti (palm fronds) in natural tones and textures. The lodge is situated about a kilometer from the lakeshore with easy access to the water. The lodge offers guests intimacy, romance, privacy and cool surrounds. Migration Camp, Serengeti - A first class camp in the north eastern area of the Serengeti with 16 en suite tents built at the base of a Kopje. It has a very comfortable bar and reading library. Mountain Village, Arusha - Nestling in the heart of a coffee estate, Mountain Village's accommodation is in romantic rondavels thatched with banana stems. The lodge is an imaginative recreation of a traditional African village and offers incredible flowering gardens with panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Duluti, and Mount Meru. Guests may enjoy a relaxing walk around the lake. Ndutu Safari Lodge, Serengeti - Situated near the border of the Serengeti in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ndutu offers simple and comfortable accommodations - great during the migration in the early months of the year. Activities include game drives. Ngare Sero, Arusha - Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is situated on the slopes of Mount Meru at an altitude of 4,000 feet. Ngare Sero means sweet water. A spring is born in the forest beside the small lodge and runs into a lake surrounded by tropical plants. It forms an ideal bird sanctuary of incredible beauty. From the balcony you can see Kilimanjaro framed by forest and coffee trees. An ideal place to relax before or after a safari. Ngorongoro Crater Lodge - Perched on the rim of the crater and inspired by ancient African architecture, guests are accommodated in 30 private cottages with en suite facilities, each with a deck offering dazzling views of the crater floor 500 meters below. Rooms are complimented by graceful antiques, grand chandeliers, and magnificent hand carved four poster beds. Activities include game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge - Constructed from local stone and covered with indigenous plants, this lodge has been built into the northern crater rim. There are 75 rooms. Activities include game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. Sand Rivers Selous, Selous - The Selous is the largest game reserve on the African continent. Accommodations consist of 8 rustic cottages crafted from local materials with en suite facilities each overlooking the Rufiji River. Professionally guided wildlife viewing walks (tracking black rhino and elephant on foot) are the main attraction here, although wildlife viewing is also done by boat and in open 4x4 vehicles. Swala Camp, Tarangire - Swala Camp is nestled in a beautiful, acacia forest enclave at the edge of the gently rolling savannah in the southwest corner of the Tarangire National Park. Each of the nine private, permanent tents have an en-suite bathrooms with showers and terraces overlooking the bush and the Gurusi swamps. Swala is the only camp in this section of the national park, affording guests private game-viewing opportunities in open four-wheel drive vehicles with expert guides. For an intimate and interactive introduction to the local culture, additional excursions to a nearby local village school, which is funded by the camp, are available. Treetops, Tarangire - Tarangire Treetops is situated in Tarangire Conservation Area, a wildlife management area of 57,000 acres. It is an innovative and stunningly original property consisting of twenty large tree houses built upon platforms amongst a cluster of baobab, mopane and wild fig trees. Each en-suite unit has a private veranda and lounge area, with sweeping views over the private Conservation area. The location just outside Tarangire National Park allows guests to enjoy activities such as walking and mountain bike trails that cannot be conducted inside the Park. Wildlife viewing drives within the park are on offer in addition to night drives outside the park. There is also a swimming pool.
