Complete Itinerary:
DAY 1, 2, 3 CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA Upon arrival in Cape Town, South Africa (flight to be provided by South African Airways) you will be met by a Cape Grace representative (with a signboard with your name on it) and be transferred by private road transfer to the Cape Grace Hotel for 3 nights. The ultimate experience for discerning travelers! Situated on the West Quay of Cape Town's Victoria and Alfred Waterfront overlooking the new international yacht basin (with the incomparable splendor of Table Mountain as a backdrop), the Cape Grace occupies the prime scenic position. The Cape Grace’s charm lies in its intimate atmosphere, stylish décor and personalized hospitality. You will find the staff warm and flexible with a spirit of unrivalled generosity. This elegant hotel, which opened in 1996, boasts 122 rooms and suites. Each is luxuriously appointed, with lounge areas, walk in dressing rooms, bathrooms with separate showers and double vanities, so as to cater for the privacy and individuality of the guests. All rooms have French doors opening to the exquisite views of Table Mountain or the working harbor. The African-influenced spa is exclusive to hotel guests. It is located on the top floor of the hotel commanding panoramas of Table Mountain, the city and the yacht marina. The Cape Grace’s restaurant, one.waterfront, offers spectacular views of the marina and Signal Hill. The restaurant is a vibrant combination of friendly, seamless service, relaxed atmosphere and adventurous culinary flair, reflecting strong classical foundations with a modern South African influence. The Bascule Whisky Bar and wine cellar on the water’s edge has a selection of over 420 whiskies and the finest Cape wines. Enjoy the African sun as you laze around the outdoor heated swimming pool embraced by trellised gardens. In the library, there are gratis pastries, teas and coffees in the morning and port and sherry in the evening. In addition guests at the Cape Grace receive private chauffeur transfers within a 10 kilometer radius (including local beaches), use of the hot spa (with sauna, steam room, mineral spa bath, rain shower and body shower), daily Cape history and wine presentations including tasting, 24-hour complimentary Internet access in the Communication Center, a newspaper each morning at your door, full breakfast (amazing to say the least) at one.waterfront or in the privacy of your room, transfers and access to the nearby Virgin Active Health Club (with fitness classes, squash and tennis courts and a 25 meter indoor heated pool), tea and secure parking. DAY 4, 5, 6 MADIKWE RESERVE, SOUTH AFRICA On day 4 you will be transferred by private road transfer to the Cape Town Airport in time to board your scheduled flight (included in the auction package) to Johannesburg. Upon arrival you will transfer to your light air transfer to Madikwe where you will be met by a Madikwe representative (with a signboard with your name on it) and will be transferred to Madikwe Hills for 3 nights. Traversing over 75,000 hectares, Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is situated on a hill in the heart of the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Ingeniously set amongst boulders and age-old Tamboti trees, the lodge offers visitors the utmost in luxury and hospitality. Madikwe Hills consists of a Main Lodge with ten ultra-luxurious glass-fronted suites complete with their own deck and private plunge pools offer absolute privacy and majestic views. The unusual, yet subtle “Afrochic” décor integrates natural elements with colors highlighting Africa’s ambience. Each suite boasting soft sofas, mosquito netting and cotton picot linen. Each suite has been designed for complete relaxation and comfort, with fireplaces and under-floor heating for the winter months, and for summer, overhead fans and air-conditioning, proving a welcome respite from the harshness of the African heat. Outside showers, romantic bathrooms and concertina glass doors allow guests to truly feel at one with the environment. Activities on offer include day / evening game viewing drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles as well as bush dinners. The Madikwe Game Reserve is home not only to the Big Five animal species (buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion and leopard), but also to a wealth of other fascinating creatures, including the rare wild dog.

DAY 7, 8, 9 THORNYBUSH RESERVE, SOUTH AFRICA On day 7 you will be transferred by light aircraft (included in the auction package) to Lanseria. Upon arrival guests will be met and transferred by road to the Johannesburg Airport. From Johannesburg guests will transfer by light aircraft (included in the auction package) to Royal Malewane for 3 nights. Live like royalty! Simply the most luxurious safari property in South Africa! The large thatched roof main sitting area is accessed through an entrance flanked by two large sculpted cheetah and two large Spanish chairs fit for king and queen. Chandeliers light comfortable sofas and the fireplace with a view out to the wilds of Africa. To the left is the outdoor eating Boma which overlooks a waterhole and to the right is the curio shop, covered dining area and glass enclosed lounge. The main area is connected to the guest suites by elevated wooden walkways. The 6 suites are palatial and include a canopied king sized bed, full bath with separate indoor and outdoor shower, private rim flow plunge pool, shaded seating area, and deck. Each has a complimentary mini bar, air conditioning for the warmer months, and fireplace to keep you warm on chilly winter nights. The chalets are glass fronted allowing wonderful views of the bush. Specially designed screen doors can be closed with the glass left open to let the sound of the night in while keeping insects out. Royal Malewane Spa is the perfect refuge for guests seeking relaxation or rejuvenation. There is an indoor and outdoor treatment area, gym, and steam room. Spa treatments can also be enjoyed in the privacy of your suite. The Royal Malewane gym overlooks the bush, and sliding doors ensure guests can enjoy the fresh bushveld air while exercising. The gym contains a treadmill, bicycle, weight station, stepper and free weights. For those requiring assistance with their workout, the spa staff are also internationally qualified gym instructors. Activities at Royal Malewane include day and night wildlife viewing drives and professionally guided walks. The lodge uses the same 12,000 hectare concession as Jackalberry and the other Thornybush lodges. Guests will most likely see the Big 5 in addition to a full range of indigenous animals. Over 250 bird species have been recorded in the Reserve. Royal Malewane employs South Africa's only active Master Tracker, and the most highly qualified Field Guide as their Head Ranger. DAY 10 EN ROUTE On day 10 you will be transferred by light aircraft (included in the auction package) to Johannesburg arriving in time for your onward flight (flight to be provided by South African Airways).

Entrance fees into the Madikwe Reserve, beverages at Madikwe Hills, and all items of a personal nature i.e. compulsory trip insurance, tips and gratuities, some drinks, spa treatments and telephone calls.

Limitations:
The travel award period is from May 1, 2009 through to April 30, 2010, subject to availability. This prize may not be utilized during South African public or school holidays, over Easter, or during the period December 15, 2008 through to January 15, 2009. In addition nights at Madikwe Hills must be midweek. Validity cannot be extended under any circumstances.
