New Chikwenya Camp Video – If I had to live in the bush it would be here.

Oooh Wilderness Safaris have released a new Chikwenya Camp video!

If I had to live in the bush this is the spot for me! Elephant, hippo, lion, wild dog – all around all the time. Canoeing safaris, professionally guided walks along the river, awesome wildlife viewing drives, Tiger fishing, sunset drinks on a boat (most camps in Mana Pools do not allow power boats – Chikwenya and Ruckomechi do)…

As to the camp itself – small and intimate with 7 private tented rooms… each with a comfy king or twin beds and en suite bathrooms with hot / cold running water, flushing toilet etc… perfection!

Best to visit July through October although October gets really hot… September and October are PRIME TIME to have elephant all around the rooms and sucking up Acacia Albida pods from the trees… you can even check them standing on their hind legs like in the photo above!

US $1,250 per person per night all inclusive – accommodations, all activities, guides, park fees, all meals and snacks, and all drinks (whether soda, bottled water, or something stronger).

“I first visited Africa in the late 1980s. I came face to face with a wild elephant, and fell in love with being on safari! I made it my goal to create an African travel company that was all about authentic wildlife experiences. Many years later we are one of the top African travel companies in the Americas – known for arranging custom safaris to East and Southern Africa; personal trips, no cookie cutter stuff.”
