Exclusive and intimate - We do not sell anything and everything. Most companies that do so have agents who have very little hands on experience in visiting the camps and lodges…even companies based in Africa. We have personally visit hundreds of properties and only recommend those that we consider truly special. Whenever possible we recommend small and intimate safari properties (typically no larger than 3 to 10 rooms accommodating 6 to 20 guests) in superb wildlife areas. We love properties where you feel at one with nature without sacrificing comfort. In cities the options range from boutique bed and breakfasts to historic hotels.

Our trips - Our trips are special. Our honeymoon itineraries include bush dinners for two, champagne and flowers on arrival, spa treatments, and upgrades to honeymoon rooms. Our adventure trips include everything from elephant back safaris to canoeing! Our Signature Series trips can include private professional guides and the exclusive use of your own aircraft with pilot. How does dinner at a private residence in Cape Town sound? How about spending the night at Nelson Mandela’s former home? Or sipping champagne from an Arab dhow as the sun sets over the “Mountains of the Moon”? Our extensive hands on knowledge and network of friends and business associates in Africa make each Ultimate Africa Safari a unique experience!

Travel made simple - At Ultimate Africa we work with you to design a trip suited to your needs (or suggest a scheduled departure that might work for you). We then reserve space at the safari properties and on flights. If you are happy with the arrangements we have reserved for you we then request a deposit to confirm. From air tickets, to trip insurance, to transfers, activities, and accommodations all of your arrangements are made with one booking and your payment may be made by credit card (MasterCard, Visa and American Express). Managing director Ian Proctor personally approves every tour. 

Insider's tip - Many companies request a deposit up front and then check availability for your trip. If what you are looking for is not available they then try to sell you on something else – they have you hooked. We do things differently. 

All inclusive the right way - Many companies note that they offer all inclusive trips. When you actually get to the safari lodge you find there are extra charges for everything from a bush dinner to a village visit. This is not how we operate. Nearly all of our itineraries include all activities, unlimited wildlife viewing mileage, all meals, all snacks, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, park fees, road / boat / air transfers, accommodations, medical air rescue coverage, most taxes and fees. All that is left is tipping, travel insurance and international flights. If any part of a trip is not included we make it clear to each client.

Your needs first - We are best known for our attentive service, attention to detail, and honesty. There is nothing more frustrating than emails and phone calls going unreturned or working with a company whose employees can’t remember your name or travel plans. Our Seattle office is open between 10 AM and 6 PM weekdays and we look forward to discussing the various travel options with you. We want you to have all your questions answered.
