2021 African Safaris – Smart Travelers Planning Now

Planning a 2021 African Safari? Heads up… savvy travelers are booking now!

Were you thinking of going on an African safari in 2020 but Covid19 put the kaibosh on your travel plans? Perhaps you are thinking 2021 is the year for your big trip to see Africa’s incredible wildlife and wilderness!

Now is the time to plan and book…

The majority of safari lodges and camps in Africa are small – anywhere from 3 to 12 rooms… the most sought after ones are often fully booked more than a year in advance. Giraffe Manor in Kenya is often fully booked 2 years in advance!!!

Gorilla trekking permits are also hugely limited. In Rwanda there are only 96 trekking permits on any given day. That means out of 7.7 billion people on planet earth fewer than 100 can hang with Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas on a daily basis – and let me say it is an INCREDIBLE experience!

Add to this many travelers booked to travel in 2020 are postponing their safaris to 2021.

As you can imagine safari operators in Africa love clients who book well in advance. They reward smart planners with early booking specials… as an example travelers can take advantage of free flights through the end of 2021! Stay a minimum of 6 nights combining eligible lodges in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Livingstone, Zambia and you qualify for up to three complimentary flights between camps. Awesome!

Other companies are offering guaranteed 2020 rates for 2021 travel!

All told 2021 is looking to be a busy year and travelers in the know are securing their space now.

If you want to talk about safari options we would be happy to share our insights – whether you want to walk with the elephants or sleep in a treehouse under the vast African sky – Africa is a wonderous destination!

“I first visited Africa in the late 1980s. I came face to face with a wild elephant, and fell in love with being on safari! I made it my goal to create an African travel company that was all about authentic wildlife experiences. Many years later we are one of the top African travel companies in the Americas – known for arranging custom safaris to East and Southern Africa; personal trips, no cookie cutter stuff.”
