Botswana Open for International Tourism

Breaking news… one of Africa’s best wildlife / wilderness destinations, and least Covid affected countries, is open to international travelers!

The Botswana government first announced that as of November 1, 2020 Botswana will re-open to international tourist arrivals. As a start only guests arriving by private charter flight would be allowed to land at either the Maun International Airport and Kasane International Airport.

As of November 9 the private charter requirement was removed and safari travelers may arrive aboard commercial flights in both Maun and Kasane.  Road transfers between Victoria Falls and Livingstone will be allowed from December 1, 2020 onwards.

All that is required is a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of your departure.

Stay well,

“I first visited Africa in the late 1980s. I came face to face with a wild elephant, and fell in love with being on safari! I made it my goal to create an African travel company that was all about authentic wildlife experiences. Many years later we are one of the top African travel companies in the Americas – known for arranging custom safaris to East and Southern Africa; personal trips, no cookie cutter stuff.”
