Super Cool Private Kenya Safari – November 2020

For almost half a year’s Kenya’s parks have been empty of visitors… our friends at Great Plains have put together a super cool, super private, November 2020 safari allowing travelers to get back out on safari – while being healthy and safe!

Great Plains Conservation have never been ones for waiting for things to happen to them. They believe in taking charge of their destiny, finding solutions, AND being a part of positive change.

Great Plains Conservation, in partnership with Kenya Airways, are offering a series of direct flights from New York to Nairobi, with exclusive health, customs and immigration formalities allowing guests to be cleared in private lounges and onto virtually wingtip to wingtip transfers into their Kenyan camps. Their 5 star camps have been pre-certified from a health and safety standard, and qualify as self-quarantine camps that you can move between with this safari – designed around Safety, Experience, and Minimal Fuss.

They have secured the entire Business Class cabin for each flight and with the addition of their Great Plains Conservation executive chef’s cuisine being served on board ensures this safari represents a first-class experience.

The inaugural departure is from New York’s JFK on Saturday, the 21st of November 2020.

This curated experience, limited to a maximum of 30 guests – perfect for those wanting to immerse themselves in African wildlife sightings over the Thanksgiving period!

The safari includes 3 nights accommodation at Mara Plains and Mara Nyika in the Masai Mara, and Ol Donyo Lodge as well as a Great Plains Conservation partner property, Arijiju in Laikipia. The cost for the 12-night safari is US $42,900 per person sharing including the return private business class flights from the USA. The trip includes Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) donations worth thousands of dollars for distribution to Kenyan communities.

As members of Relais & Châteaux and National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, Great Plains have always delivered on service and sustainability. Now they will deliver on enhanced health, safety, and wellness. They have studied the best practices of leading health advisors and from our association with the above organisations assembled our cutting edge protocols. The key to this great initiative goes beyond safety to the finest experience, and the ultimate in hospitality and to giving back to the communities that so desperately need tourism to work.

Additional opportunities for personalized departures from the United Kingdom, Europe, UAE, India, and the USA are available with recommended stays from at least 10 to 14 nights in order to truly experience the best that these wildlife destinations have to offer whilst ensuring your privacy and safety.

“I first visited Africa in the late 1980s. I came face to face with a wild elephant, and fell in love with being on safari! I made it my goal to create an African travel company that was all about authentic wildlife experiences. Many years later we are one of the top African travel companies in the Americas – known for arranging custom safaris to East and Southern Africa; personal trips, no cookie cutter stuff.”
