Rwandair and Qatar Strengthen Ties
After taking a 60% stake in Kigali’s new airport in December 2019, Qatar Airways acquired a 49% stake in RwandAir in 2020.
RwandAir will now begin direct flights between Kigali and Doha, Qatar in December 2021.
The codeshare allows for greater connectivity to more than 65 destinations around Africa and the rest of the world, utilizing one reservation, boarding, and baggage check-in experience for their entire journey.
The downside for business class travelers from Doha to Kigali is you won’t get a Qsuite as you would flying aboard Qatar Airways.
